Parking and transport information for Stormers vs Glasgow Warriors and Ultra South Africa

Cape Town is in for another busy weekend of events, including the DHL Stormers’ last regular season game at home and Africa's largest electronic music festival. Patrons are advised to note the parking arrangements and other logistics around the events.
The DHL Stormers play their last regular season home game against Glasgow Warriors on Saturday, 25 April 2026.
The home team is not only looking to cement its United Rugby Championship playoff position, but is also aiming to break the regular-season URC attendance record.
The Stormers are calling on the Faithful to fill up the DHL Stadium to break the record and to drive the team to the top of the log.
Tickets for the game are available through Ticketmaster.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 13:45, with gates opening at 11:45.
A free MyCiTi shuttle service for match ticket holders will transport spectators to the stadium from the Civic Centre and Thibault Square stations.
The shuttle will start operating from 11:15 and the last bus will leave the Green Point Precinct at 18:10.
For those driving into the city centre, the City of Cape Town will open its parking areas for ticket holders from 10:45. The parking bays, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Road, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The parking will close at 20:00.
Paid parking is also available at the Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard.
Off-street parking, free from 13:00 on Saturdays, is also available in the CBD.
Residents and motorists are advised that Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Stephan Way, Vlei Road and Granger Bay Boulevard will be impacted from 06:00 until after the game.
Ultra Music Festival
Ultra South Africa, Africa's largest electronic music festival, is taking place at the Ostrich in Philadelphia on Sunday, 26 April 2026.
With a line-up featuring 22 DJs and performers on two dance floors, the music festival will keep patrons entertained into the early hours of Freedom Day.
Gates to the venue open at 14:00.
To avoid congestion and getting stuck in traffic, festivalgoers are advised to arrive before the peak traffic period between 17:00 and 20:00.
Parking is available at the venue for R50 per vehicle.
The festival venue can be accessed via the Van Schoorsdrift Road off the N7.
The following roads will be impacted due to the traffic volumes from the event:
- N7 (lane closure near the intersection with Van Schoorsdrift Road)
- Van Schoorsdrif Road
- Old Malmesbury Road
